We believe that royalty ownership may provide a risk-adjusted option to participating in domestic oil and natural gas production. Over the past few years we have focused on acquiring mineral acreage positions in blanketed natural gas formations that are undergoing active development such as the Haynesville Shale. We believe that the continual development of unconventional shale reservoirs is a critical component to U.S. energy production and represents a tremendous opportunity for targeted investment.
